School Districts

AVOCA
Avoca Central School is located at 19-29 Oliver Street in Avoca. The district covers approximately 92 square miles. Students are from the towns of Avoca, Bath, Howard, Hornell, Canisteo, Cohocton, Prattsburg and Wheeler. There is 1 school building which contains pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

BATH
In 2001, the schools were located to the present site at 25 Ellas Avenue in Bath. The complex includes numerous sports fields and playgrounds.

Haverling High School/Middle School - Bath, NY

Bath School district is serviced by 3 schools. Vernon E. Wightman Primary School serves students K-3rd grades. Dana L. Lyon Elementary School serves students in the 4th-5th grades. Haverling Junior and Senior High School students are in the 6-12th grades.

The school includes 2100 students. The Primary school offers Pre-school, early intervention and Special Education. There is also Universal Pre-Kindergarten, Begindergarten and Pre-First Grade. The High School offers Advanced Placement college level classes and Computer-Aided Design programs.

BRADFORD
Bradford Central School is located at 2820 Route 226, Bradford, NY. The Bradford Central School District was centralized in 1928. The District covers approximately 58 square miles within the townships of Bradford, Bath, Orange, Tyrone, Wayne, and Urbana and the counties of Schuyler and Steuben. Villages within the District are Bradford, South Bradford, and Monterey. There is 1 school building which serves Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

CAMPBELL-SAVONA
The Campbell-Savona School District was formed in 1992 when Campbell Central School merged with Savona Central School. The District office, along with the Jr/Sr High School are located in the town of Campbell. The elementary school is located in the town of Savona.

PRATTSBURG
In 2008, Prattsburgh Central School District was named to the “High Performing” list of school districts in the State.

In 2007, Prattsburgh Central School District was ranked as one of the top 6% of all School Districts in the United States by the magazine US News and World Report.

The first Regents charter was given by the State of NY in 1824. Since 1936, it became the Central School District No. 1 of the towns of Prattsburgh, Pulteney, Wheeler and Urbana in Steuben County, and Italy and Jerusalem in Yates County.

The Greater Southern Tier BOCES has 3 area campuses at Elmira, Painted Post and Hornell, NY.

CORNING COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Corning Community College is a part of the State University of New York. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission. (NLNAC) The degrees offered include: Associate of Science or Arts (A.S. or A.A.) Applied Associate of Science (A.A.S.) Associate of Occupational Studies and Certificates (A.O.S.)

Corning Community College’s Small Business Development Center
Corning Community College’s Small Business Development Center www.nyssbdc.org serves the counties of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates. Their services are free and confidential. There is help with formulating business plans, sources of funding for small businesses, developing marketing plans and complying with licensing and regulations. They provide in-person and online counseling.

Corning Community College’s Workforce Development and Community Education
Corning Community College’s Workforce Development and Community Education also provides corporate training. Www.corning-cc.edu The Business Development Center is located in downtown Corning and also at the Airport Corporate Park facility. These facilities are also available for rent for business meetings, retreats or training sessions. The classes can be held at other locations.
